Single mom serves a rich old lady at McDonalds. You can’t believe what she says when she pays!! (video)
THIS SINGLE MOM IS STUCK IN A CYCLE OF WORKING IN INSECURE, PART-TIME, LOW PAID ROLES STRUGGLING TO COVER THE BASICS. SINGLE MOMS EDUCATION HAS BEEN PUT ON HOLD AND EVERYDAY ACTIVITIES, LIKE SCHOOL EXCURSIONS AND SPORT, ARE OUT OF REACH.
Their children’s future prospects are suffering and that affects us all. No matter how big the desire to secure their kids’ future, they are struggling to make sure that there is food on the table for the children. Although, we know that mother’s love is unconditional, so if they need to work 24/7, they’ll do it.
It is a sacrifice a lot of moms have to make, spending time with your children is significant but keeping them alive and well is the priority.
Of course, there’s guilt about the financial things you can’t provide, guilt about the time you spend away from them, guilt about the things you just can’t do because of your situation. Single moms have a specially difficult time when it comes around to Christmas holidays and birthday events.
WE ARE ALL AWARE HOW THESE EVENTS AFFECT OUR BUDGET, SO IMAGINE A SINGLE MOM, WITH A SINGLE INCOME OF MONEY, AND TWO OR THREE CHILDREN THAT WANT A CHRISTMAS GIFT OR A BIRTHDAY PARTY?
For a McDonald’s employee in Decorah, Iowa, the holidays put a lot more additional pressure on her cause she desires to be capable of giving her daughter the best Christmas she can. That’s when KDEC stepped in to give her the Christmas miracle she was praying for.
KDEC FM 100.5 unexpectedly showed up at the McDonalds and interviewed the workers. They asked her how is she planning to spend the holiday? She answered sincerely that she is suffering cause she can’t give her daughter the Christmas like she deserves.
THE RADIO STATION THEN SURPRISED THIS EMPLOYEE WITH A UNIQUE GIFT.
“She is always smiling and so cheery like she was this morning…Until we asked what she wanted to get for her daughter this Christmas…Thank you to Decorah Bank & Trust Co. and some Secret Santas for making this hardworking mother’s day! We hope she and her 15-month-old baby have a happy holiday!”
